A golden eel with strange 'markings' on its body was caught.

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Vu Xuan Thien, residing in Tan Long hamlet, Long Son ward, Thai Hoa town, recently caught an eel whose entire body is yellow.

The rare eel mentioned above crawled into Mr. Thien's rice field, its body covered in black spots. The appearance of the unusual eel attracted many curious onlookers.

According to Mr. Thien, after finishing tending to his rice field, he went ashore to rest and prepare to go home when he suddenly spotted a yellow eel with many black spots on its body.

"I know many types of eels, but this is the first time in my life I've caught an eel with such a strange yellow color," said Thien.

The golden eel that Mr. Thien caught weighed nearly 0.4 kg, was almost 60 cm long, and had many black spots on its body.When the strange golden eel was brought home, many curious people came to Mr. Thien's house to see it with their own eyes. Many observers commented that the black spots looked like Chinese characters (?).

It is expected that Thien's family will release the eels in the middle of the 7th lunar month.
