The Investigation Police Department of Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province, has just initiated a criminal case, indicted and temporarily detained Pham Thanh Hai, born in 1998, residing at Group 7, Dong Quang Ward, Thai Nguyen City, for the crime of resisting public officials.

Earlier, at approximately 2:20 PM on March 3rd, a task force consisting of two officers from the Traffic and Rapid Response Police Team, Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Provincial Police, was patrolling and inspecting the Viet Bac and Thong Nhat roads in Thai Nguyen City. At that time, Pham Thanh Hai was driving a car on Viet Bac road and, upon reaching the intersection with Thong Nhat road, encountered a red light but did not stop. Instead, he continued to turn right onto Thong Nhat road.
Upon detecting the violation, the task force of the Traffic Police and Rapid Response Team approached the car, blew their whistles, and signaled for the driver to stop, but Hai refused to comply and sped away.
When Hai reached the intersection of Viet Bac Street and a local road in Group 10, Dong Quang Ward, he intended to turn left onto the local road but encountered another car coming from the opposite direction, forcing him to stop. At this point, two officers on specialized motorcycles from the Traffic and Rapid Response Police Team caught up, approached the car, and ordered Hai to get out.
However, Hai continued to disobey orders, reversing his vehicle and damaging the police motorcycle and the team's video camera, injuring one police officer. Hai was immediately apprehended and taken to the police station.
Based on Hai's actions, on March 10th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Thai Nguyen City Police Department initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspect, and temporarily detained Pham Thanh Hai for processing according to the law.
