Arrested 2 subjects impersonating Criminal Police to rob property

On September 2, information from the Criminal Police Department (CSHS) of Hai Phong City Police said that the unit had just coordinated with An Duong Ward Police (Hai Phong City) to arrest 2 subjects.impersonationCSHS robbery

Previously, on August 29, An Duong Ward Police received a report that at the intersection of Road 351 and Nguyen Truong To Street (in Hoa Nhat residential group, An Duong Ward), two subjects claiming to be CSHS officers committed a robbery, taking away 1 motorbike and 3 cell phones of the victim.

Immediately after receiving the information and determining the serious nature of the incident, An Duong Ward Police reported to the City Police leadership and requested the Criminal Police Department to intervene and coordinate the investigation.

Colonel Bui Trung Thanh - Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Phong Police directly directed and assigned the Criminal Police Department to preside over and coordinate with the Police of professional departments and localities to deploy forces to focus on investigating and hotly pursuing the subjects who caused the above robbery.

Through professional measures, screening, verification and tracing, the crime-solving force identified the perpetrators as Nguyen Thanh Nhu and Hoang Duc Vuong. On September 1, detectives from the Criminal Police Department successfully arrested these two subjects.

During an urgent search of the private homes of Nguyen Thanh Nhu at 307AB, Ca Hop collective housing area and Hoang Duc Vuong at 7C/26/73 Le Lai (same Ngo Quyen ward), the authorities seized all related evidence.

Evidence includes: 1 motorcycle with license plate 15AA-858.94 of the victim, 1 motorcycle with license plate 18B2-278.68 used by the subjects to commit the crime; 5 mobile phones (3 of the victim, 2 of the subjects).

In particular, among the evidence seized at the homes of the two subjects were 1 Colt revolver; 1 number 8 lock; 2 foreign brand walkie-talkies; 1 unbranded electric baton; 1 red band embroidered with the words "Commander on duty" used by the subjects to impersonate the police to commit the crime.

At the police station, the subjects confessed to all their crimes. Nguyen Thanh Nhu also confessed that on August 21, with the same method of impersonating a police officer, Nhu robbed a Honda Lead motorbike.

Currently, the Hai Phong City Police Department has issued a decision to temporarily detain Nguyen Thanh Nhu and Hoang Duc Vuong to serve the investigation.
