Authorities arrested two suspects who brazenly used knives to rob people on the street.

On June 9, 2024, the Nghi Loc District Police are holding two suspects, NT K (born in 2009) and NVHA (born in 2009), both residing in Nghi Loc District, on charges of robbery.

Previously, on June 4, 2024, the Nghi Loc District Police received reports from two victims about being robbed by two young men on a motorbike who used knives to steal their belongings while they were traveling on National Highway 48E in Nghi Hoa commune, Nghi Loc district, in the early morning of June 3, 2024.

Immediately after receiving the report, considering the reckless and audacious nature of the suspects, which disrupted security and order in the area, the Nghi Loc District Police quickly launched an investigation. During the investigation, the police faced many difficulties due to the crime scene being far from residential areas and the crime occurring at night, which hampered the identification of the suspects.

However, just one day after receiving the report, at approximately 7 PM on June 5, 2024, the Nghi Loc District Police arrested two suspects, NTK (born in 2009), residing in Nghi Hoa commune, Nghi Loc district, and NVHA (born in 2009), residing in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district, for the crime of robbery. The seized items included: 5 motorbikes, 1 knife, 5 million VND, and other related evidence.

Through questioning, the suspects confessed to planning to rob passersby to obtain money for personal expenses... Initially, the police determined that, in addition to the two robberies mentioned above, from the beginning of 2024 to the present, the two suspects had committed five robberies of passersby in areas bordering Nghi Loc district and five motorcycle thefts in Nghi Loc district, Vinh City, and Cua Lo town... (many victims did not report the incidents).

Currently, the Nghi Loc District Police are holding the suspects in custody for further investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
