Two suspects arrested, over 1kg of methamphetamine seized.
(Baonghean.vn) - After numerous unsuccessful attempts to apprehend them, Thang and Khanh were finally caught along with 1kg of methamphetamine.
The Thanh Chuong District Police, in coordination with the Anti-Drug Task Force No. 2 - Coast Guard Command, successfully cracked Case No. 126MT, arresting two notorious drug traffickers, Nguyen Dinh Thang (born in 1968) and Nguyen Huu Khanh (born in 1974), both residing in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district, and seizing over 1kg of methamphetamine.

Through long-term investigation and surveillance, the Criminal, Economic, and Narcotics Investigation Team of Thanh Chuong District Police learned that several individuals in Vo Liet commune showed suspicious signs of involvement in drug-related crimes.
These two individuals are known to be notorious criminals in the area. Although it was determined that Nguyen Dinh Thang and Nguyen Huu Khanh had been involved in drug-related crimes for a long time, the Criminal, Economic, and Drug Crime Investigation Team repeatedly attempted to apprehend them but failed. This was because the two suspects operated with very sophisticated and cunning methods and were ready to fiercely resist if discovered, making the fight against and eradication of the crime difficult.

At 11 PM on June 17th, the Special Investigation Team successfully cracked Case No. 126MT, arresting two suspects for "illegally possessing narcotics" and seizing one package of crystal methamphetamine weighing 898g.
Currently, the Thanh Chuong District Police are finalizing the case file and procedures to initiate legal proceedings and indict the suspects in accordance with the law. That same afternoon, Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police and Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency, commended and rewarded the Thanh Chuong District Police for their exceptionally outstanding achievement in successfully solving Case 126MT.
