Arrested couple transporting large quantity of drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - A couple, Tran Van Le (born in 1974) and Dien Thi Huong (born in 1973), both residing in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district, were caught red-handed while illegally transporting drugs by the authorities.
At about 5:00 p.m. on December 30, 2021, in Thuy Phong village, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, Thanh Chuong district police presided over and coordinated with Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station and Thanh Thuy Border Customs Sub-Department to discover and arrest two subjects including: Tran Van Le, born in 1974 and Dien Thi Huong, born in 1973, both residing in Chinh Thanh village, Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking".

At the scene, authorities seized 2kg of crystal meth, 2 heroin cakes, and 400 ecstasy pills.
At the investigation agency, the two subjects admitted to the crime. Subject Tran Van Le, who had lived and worked in the border area for a long time, agreed to transport the above drugs for 20 million VND due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
