Couple arrested for transporting large quantity of drugs.
(Baonghean.vn) - Tran Van Le (born in 1974) and Dien Thi Huong (born in 1973), a married couple residing in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district, were apprehended by law enforcement while illegally transporting narcotics.
At approximately 5:00 PM on December 30, 2021, in Thuy Phong village, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, the Thanh Chuong District Police, in coordination with the Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Guard Station and the Thanh Thuy Border Gate Customs Branch, apprehended two individuals: Tran Van Le, born in 1974, and Dien Thi Huong, born in 1973, both residing in Chinh Thanh village, Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, for the crime of "Illegal trafficking of narcotics"

At the scene, law enforcement officers seized 2 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 2 blocks of heroin, and 400 ecstasy pills.
At the investigative agency, the two suspects admitted to their crimes. Suspect Tran Van Le, who had previously lived and worked in the border area for a considerable period, agreed to transport the drugs for 20 million VND due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
