Arrested 9 teenagers for selling counterfeit money via Facebook
The group created many different Facebook accounts to sell counterfeit money online at a rate of 1 real money for 10 counterfeit money; required buyers to pay 50% of the real money in advance before receiving the counterfeit money and proceeded to commit fraud.

On February 1, Hue City Police, TT - Hue announced that this unit had just arrested a group of teenagers who used Facebook to scam people into selling counterfeit money and winning lottery tickets and then appropriating their property.
Accordingly, at around 9:00 p.m. on January 30, Hue City Police suddenly raided an Internet cafe (Ly Thai To Street, An Hoa Ward, Hue City) and arrested 9 suspects aged 13-19 who were suspected of causing the above fraud cases.
The group of arrested subjects includes: Vo Hoang Vu, Pham Ba Phi Long, Tran Trung Tin, Le Viet Cong, Tran Phuoc Minh Quan, Dang Van Trung, all residing in Hue City; Ho Hoang Long, Le Quang Duc and Nguyen Tan Truong, all residing in Huong Tra Town, Hue City.
Previously, Hue City Police received a report from the victim that on Facebook, many personal accounts appeared selling fake money and giving out "winning numbers" to defraud and appropriate property; many people were deceived and lost their property because of greed.
After a period of active investigation, Hue City Police arrested the 9 above subjects.
Initially, the subjects confessed that they had created many different Facebook accounts to sell counterfeit money online at a rate of 1 real money for 10 counterfeit money; required buyers to pay 50% of the real money in advance before receiving the counterfeit money and proceeded to commit fraud.
Not only that, this group of people also claimed to be employees of lottery companies who knew the winning numbers in advance to trick people into buying a "winning number" and then paying 1 million VND and then taking it.
According to the police, the amount of money this group has defrauded is up to hundreds of millions of dong.
Currently, Hue City police are continuing to consolidate the case file to handle the subjects according to the law.
