Authorities arrest inter-provincial robbery gang consisting of four brothers.
Being brothers, the four individuals formed a gang to commit robberies and thefts in four provinces in the Central Highlands region.
On September 23, Colonel Nguyen Quang Nham, Head of the Krong Ana District Police (Dak Lak province), announced that the unit had initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspects, and temporarily detained four brothers: Y Trang Hdok (born in 1989), Y Kuong Hdok (born in 1993), Y Vol Hdok (born in 1997), and Y Tuan Hdok (born in 1998, all residing in Ea Bong commune, Krong Ana district) to investigate their involvement in robbery and theft.

Earlier, on the morning of August 6, 2016, Ms. Mai Thi Phuong (residing in Krong Ana district) was riding her motorbike on the road towards the Cu Pao pass area (Quang Dien commune, Krong Ana district) when two individuals rushed out, attacked her with sticks, pushed her to the ground, rummaged through her handbag to steal her belongings, and stole her motorbike.
Immediately after the robbery, Ms. Phuong reported it to the authorities. The Krong Ana District Police deployed forces to apprehend the suspects. Upon spotting the suspects, the police officers rushed forward, but suspect Y Trang recklessly rammed his motorbike directly into one of the officers, causing injury.
After his arrest, the suspect confessed that his gang, consisting of four brothers, had committed numerous motorcycle thefts in Krông Ana, Lắk, and Cư Kuin districts (Đắk Lắk province). Furthermore, the gang also committed thefts in neighboring provinces, including one motorcycle theft in Đắk Song district (Đắk Nông province) and one snatching incident in Lâm Hà district (Lâm Đồng province).
Authorities are also investigating robberies in Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak province) and Pleiku City (Gia Lai province) committed by this gang of four brothers.
The incident is currently under investigation.
