Authorities arrest suspect for robbing an 81-year-old woman.
On November 20th, the Thanh Xuan District Police Investigation Agency in Hanoi announced that they are temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Vuong (born in 2001), residing in My Duc District, Hanoi, on charges of "robbery."
According to investigative documents, on November 15th, the Thanh Xuan Nam Ward Police Station, Thanh Xuan District, received a report from Mrs. N (81 years old) stating that while she was standing in the G4 apartment complex in Thanh Xuan Nam Ward, a male suspect snatched two mobile phones from her.
Upon receiving the report, the Thanh Xuan Nam Ward Police reported to the Thanh Xuan District Police Command and coordinated with the District Police's Criminal Investigation Team to quickly implement investigation measures.

By November 18th, the task force of the Thanh Xuan District Police had identified the perpetrator as Nguyen Van Vuong, and subsequently summoned him to the police station for questioning.
Here, the suspect Vuong confessed that, due to not having a stable job and needing money, he came up with the idea of robbing others of their property. Around 10 am on November 15th, Vuong rode his Honda Wave motorbike around the Thanh Xuan Nam ward area looking for "prey".
Upon arriving in front of the G4 apartment complex, Vuong spotted an elderly woman walking along the common walkway, carrying a handbag. Observing that there were few people around, Vuong approached her, snatched the handbag, and sped away on his motorbike.
After stopping his motorbike and opening the stolen bag, Vuong took out two mobile phones and 500,000 VND, then threw the bag away to dispose of the evidence. Afterward, Vuong went to two shops in Ha Dong district and Thanh Tri district, Hanoi, and sold the two phones for 3.9 million VND, which he then spent.
