Arrest of subject illegally possessing 37kg of homemade fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - During the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes to protect the Lunar New Year 2024, through patrolling and controlling work, Nghi Dong Commune Police, Nghi Loc District discovered and arrested a subject who was illegally storing 37 kg of homemade fireworks.
At 9:30 a.m. on January 15, the Nghi Dong Commune Police working group organized a patrol and control in Hamlet 8, Nghi Dong Commune, Nghi Loc District.
During the patrol, the working group discovered that Dau Huu Diep (born in 1984, residing in hamlet 8, Nghi Dong commune) had many suspicious signs, so they conducted an administrative inspection.
Through inspection, the police discovered and seized 107 homemade firecrackers; 02 homemade firecracker bands with a total weight of 37kg. Dau Huu Diep confessed that in order to have firecrackers to play Tet, he learned how to make explosives, then ordered firecrackers and made them himself.
The working group drew up a record and handed over the subject to Nghi Loc District Police for handling according to the provisions of law.
