Arrest of especially dangerous wanted fugitive
On June 14, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC04) of Nghe An Province Police just extradited a wanted fugitive for the crime of "Concealing the illegal use of especially dangerous narcotics" from abroad to Vietnam.
Accordingly, Nguyen Anh Duong (born in 1988), residing in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city, Nghe An province, is wanted for the crime of "Concealing illegal use of narcotics" in 2022. Duong has a previous conviction for "Disturbing public order" and is an important "link" in the "Organizing illegal use of narcotics" gang that the police agency previously fought.
Faced with that situation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police reported to the Provincial Police Leadership to establish a special project to fight and arrest. During the process of fighting the special project, it was discovered that the subject was hiding in Cambodia, changing his name and creating a cover as a business owner there. The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department exchanged information and coordinated with relevant functional units to successfully arrest Nguyen Anh Duong and safely escort him to the Nghe An Provincial Police Investigation Agency.
At the Investigation Agency, the subject confessed to his crime. Currently, the case is being handled by the Police Agency in accordance with the provisions of law.
