Authorities arrested a suspect transporting over 300kg of firecrackers.
On December 15th, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nghe An Provincial Police announced that they had successfully collaborated with the Nghia Lam Commune Police to crack a case involving the illegal buying, selling, and transportation of prohibited goods, seizing a large quantity of firecrackers.
Previously, through intelligence gathering, authorities discovered that Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1989, residing in Kha Son commune, Thai Nguyen province) showed signs of purchasing firecrackers from Quang Tri province and bringing them to Thai Nguyen for sale. In the early morning of December 15, 2025, in Hoang Mai ward (Nghe An province), the Special Investigation Team, in coordination with the Traffic Police, caught Nguyen Van Lam red-handed while he was driving a car transporting firecrackers. Upon inspecting the vehicle, authorities discovered 23 sacks containing a total of 345 kg of various types of firecrackers, all manufactured abroad.
Currently, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nghe An Provincial Police is finalizing the dossier to prosecute the suspect according to the law.
