Suspect arrested for shooting and killing young man.
After fatally shooting a young man, suspect Tran Van Huy fled the scene. Police apprehended Huy approximately six hours after the crime.
Early on February 11th, the Criminal Police Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Police announced that they had coordinated with relevant forces to arrest a suspect who used a gun to kill a young man in Ky Phuong ward, Ky Anh town.
The suspect has been identified as Tran Van Huy (born in 1984, residing in Cam Minh commune, Cam Xuyen district).
According to the police, at over 10 PM on February 10th, about 6 hours after committing the crime, Tran Van Huy was arrested while hiding in Cam Trung commune (Cam Xuyen district).
Earlier, at around 5 PM on February 10th, Mr. HVP (born in 1999, residing in Hong Hai residential area, Ky Phuong ward) was at home when Huy, riding a motorbike, approached his house and shot him in the abdomen. As a result, Mr. P. died on the spot.
The incident was recorded by security cameras of nearby houses. After committing the crime, Huy fled the scene on a motorbike.
Approximately 4km from the scene, authorities discovered a gun believed to have been left behind by the perpetrator. According to local authorities, Mr. P. previously worked in the Philippines and had only returned home two months prior.
Currently, the cause of the murder is still being investigated.
