Bank employee arrested for defrauding 950 million VND.
The police have issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and execute an arrest warrant for temporary detention against Nguyen Huy Lam (born in 1993) - a former employee of HD Bank - for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.
According to the investigation results, in 2024, taking advantage of his position as an employee of HD Bank's Son La branch, Nguyen Huy Lam (residing at: Group 01, Chieng Le Ward, Son La City, Son La Province) used fraudulent methods tomisappropriation of moneyHD Bank's Son La branch disbursed funds for a customer's loan agreement.
Initially, investigators determined that the amount of money Lam had embezzled was 950 million VND.
Currently, the investigation is continuing and expanding the case to protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.
