On September 11, 2024, the Dien Chau District Police announced the successful arrest of two particularly dangerous wanted fugitives: Ngo Van Tuan (born in 1988), residing in My Duc commune, An Lao district, Hai Phong city, and Nguyen Thi The (born in 1994), residing in Dien Phuc commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An).
Previously, through investigative measures, the Dien Chau District Police discovered that Ngo Van Tuan and Nguyen Thi The were wanted by the Kien Thuy District Police, Hai Phong City, on August 12, 2024, for the crime of "Organizations that illegally use narcotic drugs."
Immediately, the unit reported to the provincial police leadership and implemented a plan to apprehend the suspects; at the same time, two task forces were dispatched to directly verify information in Dien Chau district and Ho Chi Minh City, where the two suspects were believed to be hiding.
The verification and arrest process faced many difficulties because Ngo Van Tuan and Nguyen Thi The frequently changed their hiding places and methods of communication. However, under the direct and close guidance of the provincial police leadership and with a spirit of fighting crime to the end, at 5:20 PM on September 8, 2024, in Trung Song hamlet, Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district, the Dien Chau District Police task force arrested Nguyen Thi The.
Subsequently, at approximately 12:00 PM on September 9, 2024, in Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City, the task force successfully apprehended Ngo Van Tuan.
Less than a month after issuing the arrest warrant, both extremely dangerous fugitives were apprehended – this is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the high level of effort and determination of the Dien Chau District Police.
