Authorities seized a vehicle carrying 700 grenade-shaped firecrackers.

During the inspection, the police discovered and apprehended the driver transporting 700 grenade-shaped firecrackers. The driver confessed that he was transporting the firecrackers to Binh Phuoc province for sale.

On the afternoon of December 19th, the Anti-Smuggling and Illicit Goods Trafficking Team of the Economic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, in coordination with the route inspection team of the Political Protection Department 2 of Hanoi City Police, discovered and inspected a car driven by Pham Van Hai, residing in An Chau town, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province.

The vehicle was being transported by Lai Van Bo, residing in Tan Quang commune, Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province, who was carrying 700 grenade-shaped firecrackers weighing a total of 33kg, valued at 14 million VND.

The suspects confessed that they planned to transport the fireworks to Binh Phuoc province for sale. That same afternoon, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency arrested and detained Lai Van Bo on charges of trafficking prohibited goods.
