Arrested two subjects transporting and storing 13kg of firecrackers.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 4, Nghi Loc District Police arrested and detained two subjects for illegally transporting and storing firecrackers.

After Nghi Loc District Police received a report from the public that a yellow truck with license plate 37C 12759 was on its way from Hanoi to Vinh, illegally transporting fireworks. The district police traffic police team set up a checkpoint in Nghi Thuan commune.

At 1:30 p.m. the same day, the truck as reported appeared. The task force signaled to stop the vehicle and conducted an inspection. The driver was Le Ngoc Chuong (born in 1986), residing in Hamlet 17, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District. Also traveling in the vehicle was Nguyen Truong Thang (born in 1982), residing in Block 9, Quan Hanh Town, Nghi Loc District. Upon inspection, the task force discovered a white sack containing three boxes of Chinese-made fireworks in the vehicle.

Le Ngoc Chuong and Nguyen Truong Thang confessed that they bought these fireworks from Mong Cai for their own use. During an urgent search of Thang's residence, the authorities discovered and seized an additional 4.4 kg of the same type of fireworks, bringing the total weight of the fireworks illegally transported and stored by the two subjects to 13 kg.

Currently, the investigation agency is completing the case file to handle the two subjects according to the provisions of the law./.
