Two masked suspects arrested for stabbing a 12-year-old boy in the arm.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of December 30th, the Nam Dan District Police arrested two masked suspects who stabbed a 12-year-old child in the arm: Trinh Duong Tiep (31 years old) and Trinh Duong Thang (both residing in Hung Tien commune, Nam Dan district).

Hoang Thi Duyen was stabbed with a sharp knife that went all the way into her left arm.

As reported, on the night of December 24th, Hoang Thi Duyen (12 years old, a 7th grade student at Anh Xuan Secondary School, Nam Dan district) was riding an electric bicycle with her 6-year-old sister from Hamlet 2, Nam Xuan commune to Nam Linh commune. On the way, at the intersection of Nam Xuan, Nam Linh, and Xuan Hoa communes, Duyen was stabbed in the arm by two masked young men who then sped away on their motorbike.

Duyen tried to steer her electric bicycle, carrying her younger sister, to the area near Ru Cat Church (Nam Linh commune), where locals used a cloth rope to tie around her arm to stop the bleeding before taking her to Nam Dan District General Hospital for emergency treatment. When the doctors and nurses managed to remove the knife, Duyen fainted.

Colonel Cao Tien Mai, Head of the Nam Dan District Police, said: "With active efforts and determination to investigate and apprehend the suspects, on the night of December 30th, we carried out an urgent arrest warrant for Tiep. Based on Tiep's confession, we subsequently arrested Thang. Initially, Tiep and Thang confessed to planning to use knives to rob property on Christmas Eve. Tiep has a previous criminal record and Thang is a drug addict. We are currently expanding the investigation into theft and robbery committed by Tiep and Thang."
