Arrest made in burglar who broke into government building and stole numerous assets.
The suspect, Nguyen Thanh Phi, confessed that he needed equipment for personal use, so he rode his motorbike from his home to the Cultural, Sports and Media Center to commit theft.
On December 28th, the Que Phong District Police announced the arrest of Nguyen Thanh Phi (born in 2002, residing in Thai Phong Hamlet, Kim Son Town, Que Phong District) - the perpetrator of several thefts of property at government agencies in the area.
Previously, the Que Phong District Police had repeatedly received reports from state agencies in the area regarding property theft.

The stolen items included a white camera, a ViewSonic computer monitor, a black swivel chair, a Kangaroo brand standing fan, a gray rectangular speaker, a black HP computer monitor, a black CPU; a black computer board; a black SONY television; and a pair of black standing speakers.

Through investigation, authorities determined that the perpetrator of the thefts was a young male riding a red Nouvo motorbike with license plate number 37B2-31011.
Through professional investigative methods, the authorities accurately identified the identity and whereabouts of the suspect, Nguyen Thanh Phi. Immediately after receiving the information, the leaders of the Que Phong District Police directed the investigative teams to arrest the suspect and return the stolen property to the victims as quickly as possible.
At the district police station, suspect Nguyen Thanh Phi admitted to his crimes. Phi confessed to breaking the locks on the doors of the building at the District Cultural, Sports and Communication Center three times, stealing many valuables worth over 100 million VND. He acted alone and committed the acts after playing games and noticing many valuable items in the office area of the headquarters.
Authorities are currently investigating and clarifying the actions to prosecute the suspect according to the law.
