Man arrested urgently for critically injuring his mother-in-law with a knife due to a relationship dispute.
On September 16th, authorities arrested Phung Van Giang (born in 1999) for investigation into his shocking act of using a knife to attack his mother-in-law, an incident that has stirred local public opinion.
According to initial investigations, at approximately 12 PM on September 11th, Giang went to his mother-in-law's house, Mrs. NTL (born in 1982, residing in Yen Lam 2 area, Dong Trieu ward, Quang Ninh province), carrying a knife to inquire about the whereabouts of his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Th.H. (born in 2003).
Unable to find his wife, Giang became consumed by blind jealousy and suddenly swung a knife, repeatedly slashing at Mrs. L.'s head, face, and body, causing the victim to collapse on the spot and be rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The suspects Phung Van Giang and his wife have been involved in numerous incidents.conflictEach time they argued, Ms. H. would leave home, while Giang would threaten suicide to try and salvage the relationship. On the evening of September 10th, after another argument, Ms. H. left home again and lost contact, which angered Giang and led to his violent actions.
After committing the crime, Phung Van Giang fled. Under the direction of the Provincial Police Directorate, the Criminal Police force quickly tracked down and arrested the suspect at 10:30 PM on the same day.
The case is currently under investigation and will be handled in accordance with the law.
