Woman arrested urgently for borrowing 4 billion VND for personal expenses.

Trinh Thi Bich Tram was arrested by the police to clarify her involvement in fraud and misappropriation of property.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police announced that they have just executed an urgent arrest warrant against Trinh Thi Bich Tram (40 years old, residing on Pham Thi Lien Street, Hue City) for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

During questioning at the police station, Tram confessed to defrauding many people into lending her money, promising interest rates many times higher than those offered by banks. Tram told the lenders that she would use the money to lend to others, profiting from the difference.

However, this woman used the borrowed money to pay interest to the victims and for personal expenses. When the repayment deadline arrived, Tram was unable to pay her creditors.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested Tram. According to initial investigation results, from November 2014 to August 2016, Tram defrauded six victims of nearly 4 billion VND.
