Urgent arrest of photographer using 'nude photos' to blackmail customers

Taking advantage of the camera footage of the customer changing clothes, the photographer edited the sensitive photos for the purpose of blackmail.

On November 27, the Investigation Police Agency - Son La Provincial Police issued an emergency arrest warrant for Nguyen Son Nam (born 1992), residing in Song Ma town, Song Ma district, Son La province, for the act of extortion.

According to police documents, Nam worked as a photographer, taking photos for hire at home. Because she knew Nam, Ms. Nguyen Thi H. from Song Ma district went to Nam's house to take her ID photo.

While Ms. H was changing clothes, Nam's home camera recorded the sensitive image. Afterwards, Nam edited this sensitive image with the motel room to blackmail her.

To carry out the act, Nam created a fake Facebook account and then sent these images to Ms. H. Nam threatened that if Ms. H did not give him money, he would send these images to the victim's relatives and post them online. Fearing that Ms. H would agree to transfer 12 million VND to Nam, he reported to Song Ma District Police for arrest.

The case is currently under investigation by the police.
