Revealing the 'special man' of Miss Le Hoang Phuong

On the evening of August 27th, the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 final took place in Ho Chi Minh City, with Le Hoang Phuong from Khanh Hoa province winning the title. The new Miss Grand Vietnam is 27 years old, 1.76m tall, and currently runs an architecture and construction company.

Besides her performance skills, extensive experience, and continuous effort to improve and perfect herself, another factor contributing to Hoang Phuong's perfect victory was the unwavering support of her friends. Le Ngoc Lam is considered Le Hoang Phuong's "special man."

Designer Le Ngoc Lam said he has been working with Hoang Phuong for over 5 years since first meeting her at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 press conference. He was attracted by her healthy complexion and proactively contacted her to sponsor dresses, and also chose Hoang Phuong as the vedette for the show.Brave heart' within the framework of this competition because they saw the beauty queen's efforts. However, she only made it to the top 10 in the final round.

The designer had previously refused to design a dress for Hoang Phuong at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 because she didn't make dresses with embellishments. "But fate intervened; before the preliminary round, Hoang Phuong came to the store and asked to borrow the dress. Afterwards, we talked, and I felt sorry for her, and that's how the Coral dress was born, spreading widely. I'm also grateful to Phuong for giving me more motivation," he recounted.

Le Ngoc Lam revealed that the new Miss Grand Vietnam cried a lot because she didn't win that year's competition. After she calmed down, the two met, talked, understood each other, and became close friends, and remain so to this day.

The 90s-born designer revealed that he once took Hoang Phuong on a family trip and appreciated her genuine personality. He had advised the architect to enter Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, but she hesitated and did not participate.

"This year, everyone continued to advise and persistently urge her, and finally Hoang Phuong decided to take the exam. She focused on preparing for many lessons, English, skills... for four months. Everyone cried a lot and was very proud when Hoang Phuong won," he shared.

In the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 final, Le Hoang Phuong wore a magnificent silver-white evening gown that Le Ngoc Lam had meticulously prepared for her over two months in advance.

Sharing about the dress, Le Ngoc Lam revealed: "I had prepared another dress for Hoang Phuong for the final, and the dress she wore last night was only for her profile photoshoot, but because she liked it so much, Phuong wanted to keep it for another special occasion. Before the final, when I brought both dresses, Hoang Phuong chose this one because she felt comfortable wearing it."

During the final night, Le Ngoc Lam was very worried because he saw the efforts of the beauty queen after a long journey. He said that Hoang Phuong also felt pressured when she unexpectedly won the mock competition night.

Le Ngoc Lam, born in 1990, is a renowned young fashion designer in the Vietnamese fashion industry. He has worked with many top stars such as Lan Khue, Toc Tien, Ky Duyen, and Jolie Phuong Trinh. In 2013, Ngoc Lam graduated from the University of Architecture. He won second prize in the Triumph Inspiration Award competition in Berlin, Germany.
