Suspect arrested for murdering both husband and wife in front of their 8-year-old son.
Hai entered the grocery store to buy something. While the store owner was bending down to get the goods, Hai stabbed him, causing him to collapse on the spot. Hearing the commotion, the store owner's wife rushed in to rescue her husband but was also stabbed and seriously injured by Hai, subsequently dying. Their 8-year-old son, who ran to help, was also stabbed and injured by the suspect.
The Dong Nai Provincial Police announced that they are coordinating with the Cam My District Police (Dong Nai province) to investigate a family murder case that occurred in Xuan Dong commune, Cam My district, resulting in two deaths and two injuries.

Earlier, at around 9 PM on June 14th, Vu Van Hai (30 years old, residing in Cam My district) went to buy goods at the grocery store of Mr. Hoang Ha Bac (43 years old). Taking advantage of the moment when Mr. Bac bent down to get the goods, Hai took out a knife he had on him and stabbed the victim multiple times, causing him to collapse on the spot.
At that moment, hearing the cries for help, neighbors and Mr. Bac's wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (38 years old), who was upstairs, ran down, but Hai threatened them with a knife, preventing anyone from going in to help. Ms. Ngoc tried to rush in to rescue her husband but was stabbed and seriously injured by Hai. Seeing his parents stabbed, their 8-year-old son ran in to plead for help but was also attacked by Hai, though fortunately only sustaining minor injuries.
After committing the crime, seeing himself surrounded by people, Hai used the knife to stab himself in the stomach, causing injury. At this point, people restrained Hai and took the victims to the hospital for emergency treatment.
However, due to the severity of their injuries, Mr. Bac and Mrs. Ngoc later passed away. Hai is still receiving treatment and monitoring at Long Khanh Town General Hospital (Dong Nai).
According to initial verification, Hai is a local resident and had no conflicts with the victims' families. However, according to some local residents, Hai showed signs of abnormal psychological behavior.
Currently, the police are coordinating with relevant authorities to conduct a post-mortem examination, investigate the crime scene, and interview witnesses to determine the cause of the incident.
