Suspect arrested for dumping man's body parts in backpack

The person who murdered a man and threw his head in the trash in Binh Duong is the victim's wife.

On December 18, Binh Duong Provincial Police arrested Hoang Thi Hong Diem (32 years old, from Hau Giang) to investigate the murder of her husband and the dumping of his body in many places in Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An town.

Initially, Diem confessed that she murdered Tran Thanh Tu (37 years old, from Soc Trang) due to marital conflict. They both lived in a boarding house near where the victim's head was found.

On the same morning, the remaining body parts of the victim were also found at two garbage dumps in Thuan Giao ward.

Colonel Tran Van Chinh, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Provincial Police, said the police are urgently investigating and clarifying the developments of the case.

At noon on December 16, garbage collectors on Thuan Giao 9 Street, Thuan Giao Ward were shocked to discover a man with multiple injuries on his head. The body was placed in a blue backpack, covered with nylon, and left on the side of the road.
