20-year-old suspect arrested for stabbing pawnshop owner 32 times.

After several days on the run, Vo Van Hoang was arrested by the Dong Nai police. Initially, Hoang confessed to stabbing Nguyen Thi Nhung to death in order to steal her property.

On August 15th, the Criminal Police Department (PC45) of Dong Nai Provincial Police announced the arrest of suspect Vo Van Hoang (20 years old, from Kien Giang province) for investigation into the crimes of murder and robbery.

Earlier, on the evening of August 9th, Mr. Vo Viet Dung (47 years old, owner of a pawn shop in Hamlet 2, Long Tho Commune, Nhon Trach District) was shocked to find his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung (42 years old), dead on the floor with blood stains all over the room after drinking.

Mr. Dung shouted for help from the residents and called the local authorities.

Upon receiving the report, the police quickly arrived at the scene to conduct an examination and investigate the incident. The examination revealed that Ms. Nhung was stabbed a total of 32 times in the abdomen, chest, shoulders, and arms, leading to her death. The scene showed signs of disturbance, with some banknotes scattered around the house.

Additionally, a search of the victim's house revealed that a customer's motorbike, which had been left there as collateral, was missing.

Based on this lead, on the afternoon of August 14th, police arrested Hoang while he was hiding in a rented room in Hamlet 5, Hiep Phuoc Commune, Nhon Trach District. At the police station, the suspect confessed to being the perpetrator who murdered Nhung to steal her property.
