Suspect arrested for hiding in a restaurant with 7,400 drug pills.
When border guards raided the location, one of the two men was apprehended along with a backpack. Inside the backpack were 37 blue plastic bags containing 7,400 pills of synthetic drugs.
On May 6th, the Quang Tri Border Guard Command confirmed that they had just discovered a suspect transporting 7,400 pills of synthetic drugs from Laos into Vietnam for distribution.

Earlier, at around 7 PM on May 5th, the Anti-Crime and Drug Task Force, in coordination with the Special Reconnaissance Team (of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard), patrolled the Vietnam-Laos border area and discovered two people traveling on a motorbike from Laos to Vietnam.
Upon seeing the border guards, the two men sped away on their motorbike towards Lao Bao town and ran into a restaurant to hide.

At the investigative agency, the man identified himself as Tran Cong Chinh (40 years old, residing in Son Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province). Mr. Chinh admitted to purchasing the drugs from Tha Khek (Laos) and then transporting them to Vietnam for sale.
