(Baonghean.vn) - A Yamaha Sirius motorbike, recently purchased by Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, was stolen from her workplace nearly six years ago. Police officers from Nam Dan district have now found it and returned it to her.
On the afternoon of June 4th, Lieutenant Colonel Dao Hong Nguyen, Head of the Traffic Police Team of Nam Dan District Police, announced that the team had completed all procedures and handed over the Yamaha Sirius motorbike to Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang (born in 1995), residing in Hamlet 10, Trang Son Commune, Do Luong District, which had been stolen 6 years prior.
Earlier, at approximately 9:10 AM on May 29th, a patrol team from the Traffic Police Department (Nam Dan District Police) was conducting traffic violation checks on a road in Xuan Hoa commune, Nam Dan district, when they spotted a man driving a Yamaha Sirius motorcycle with license plate 37E1-023.59 who was not complying with traffic safety laws (not wearing a helmet).

Upon signaling the vehicle to stop, the driver, Le Duy Cong (born in 1982), residing in Hamlet 3, Nam Anh Commune, Nam Dan District, was unable to present any identification documents for himself or the vehicle. The task force issued an administrative violation report and temporarily seized the motorcycle for further processing in accordance with the law.
Approximately 20 minutes later, Le Duy Cong arrived to work directly with the task force and presented a motorcycle registration certificate, an identity card, and a Class A1 driver's license, all bearing the name Le Duy Cong. During the inspection, noticing several suspicious points in the motorcycle registration certificate, the task force proceeded to record the incident, temporarily seize the relevant documents and vehicle, and invite Le Duy Cong to the police station for investigation and resolution of the case.
At the police station, after investigating the vehicle's chassis and engine numbers, the task force determined that the license plate attached to the vehicle was fake. Further verification confirmed that the motorcycle belonged to Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang (born in 1995, residing in Trang Son commune, Do Luong district) and bore license plate 37D1-574.60. Immediately afterward, the Traffic Police Team (Nam Dan District Police) invited Ms. Trang to the station to complete the procedures for reclaiming her property.
The owner of the motorbike stated that it was stolen in 2013 from the parking lot of the garment factory where she had worked for nearly six years.
