(Baonghean.vn) - With a score of 27.50 in the A-block entrance exam, Tran Phan Anh Tam, a 12th-grade student from Dang Thuc Hua High School (Thanh Chuong), has become the top student of the school. With this score, Tam hopes to become a student at a military academy.
Returning home from the South just as schools announced exam results, Tam was delighted to learn of her high scores. Her total score for the three subjects in the A-block entrance exam was 27.50, with Math: 9, Physics: 8.5, and Chemistry: 9.75. With this score, Tam became the student with the highest entrance exam score in the A-block at Dang Thuc Hua High School in the recent exam.
Tam said, "After the exam, I compared my answers with the Ministry's answer key and estimated my score. However, when I received the results, I was a little surprised because my 'actual score' was higher than I expected." As a top-performing student in Chemistry at the provincial level, Tam was pleased with her 9.75 score. She also had the highest Chemistry score in her school.

Tam's study methods seem not much different from those of other high-achieving students in the districts. To achieve high academic results, especially in the National High School Graduation Examination, according to Tam, students need to stick to textbooks, firmly grasp basic knowledge, and then, based on that, study advanced and expanded knowledge, actively work on difficult exercises, diligently practice exam questions, and confidently take mock exams to gain experience…
For Tam, 12 years of studying was a process of diligent hard work, staying up late and waking up early, especially during her high school years. The "bookworm" of class 12A collected and bought many advanced books, stacking them on her desk to aid her studies. "I prefer exploring and pondering knowledge in books rather than studying online. To be honest, I have a computer in my room, but I rarely use it," Tam candidly shared.

Tam is the youngest of two siblings in a family where both parents are teachers. His older brother graduated from the Logistics Academy in 2018. Tam's father works in Ky Son district, several hundred kilometers from home, and his mother also teaches in another commune, so Tam developed an independent spirit at an early age.
During her high school years, Tam balanced her studies with household chores. Her father, Tran Van Long, shared: “Her parents work in different places, and our family circumstances are a bit unusual, but luckily she has a good mindset and is always self-disciplined in everything she does and studies. During exam preparation, she often studied until 1 am, and many nights her parents had to remind her to go to bed.”

Tam's academic efforts have been recognized by numerous achievements. Throughout her high school years, from grades 1 to 12, she consistently earned the title of "Outstanding Student." During her middle school years, Tam excelled at the district level in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. In grade 11, she won third prize in the provincial-level Chemistry competition. In two mock university entrance exams at Dang Thuc Hua High School and one at Vinh University, Tam consistently achieved the highest scores.
Particularly in the recent National High School Graduation Examination, Tam became the top student at Dang Thuc Hua High School. Speaking about her daughter's achievement, Ms. Phan Thi Sen – Tam's mother, who accompanied and supported Tam through every study session and exam – said: “After so much worry and anxiety, now that she has achieved such a score, the family is extremely happy.”

The beautiful village school's top-scoring student has long dreamed of becoming a soldier, following in her brother's footsteps. However, Tam also said that with this score, even if she doesn't get into the Logistics Academy as she wished, she would still be satisfied if she got into Hanoi University of Pharmacy, because "the future is still ahead."
Tam is a well-behaved student who gets along well with her friends and is well-liked by her teachers. She has a strong sense of academic responsibility and a relentless drive to succeed. In particular, Tam is very quick at answering multiple-choice questions in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Therefore, although Tam scored 27.50 in the A-block entrance exam, she surely still has some regrets. Hopefully, with this score, Tam will become a new student at the Logistics Academy.
