Suspect who snatched a phone quickly apprehended.
In less than 48 hours after receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and the Van Hien Commune Police jointly investigated and successfully apprehended the suspect who snatched a mobile phone from a passerby.
On the morning of May 31st, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and the Van Hien Commune Police received information about a phone snatching incident involving a woman driving a vehicle on National Highway 7C, in the section passing through Van Hien commune. Recognizing the need for a swift investigation to reassure the public, the police quickly mobilized forces to the scene to verify and pursue the case.
Through professional investigative methods, at 9:30 AM on June 2nd, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and the Van Hien Commune Police jointly arrested Bui Nguyen Thang (born in 1986), residing in Do Luong Commune, who committed the aforementioned robbery.
At the police station, the suspect confessed that because he needed money, he took advantage of the victim's negligence in managing their property and committed the robbery to sell the stolen goods for cash.
The police are continuing to investigate and handle the case according to regulations.
