Suspect arrested quickly for stealing mobile phones and over 20 electric motors.
In just 15 days, Ha Hoang Hai Nam stole mobile phones and more than 20 electric motors from shrimp farms and football fields in Dong Loc and Trung Loc communes, Nghe An province. He was recently arrested by the Trung Loc Commune Police, in coordination with the Dong Loc Commune Police.
Despite his young age, Ha Hoang Hai Nam (born in 2007), residing in Dong Loc commune, is a dissolute individual with a tendency towards petty theft. On March 19, 2026, taking advantage of a lapse in security at the football field in Hamlet 2, Trung Loc commune, Ha Hoang Hai Nam stole an iPhone worth approximately 10 million VND from a player, which he then sold for personal use.
Upon receiving the report, the Trung Loc Commune Police quickly mobilized forces to verify the incident. Just 12 hours after launching the investigation, on the morning of March 20, 2026, the Trung Loc Commune Police clarified the case and arrested Ha Hoang Hai Nam for theft.
Expanding the investigation, the Trung Loc Commune Police, in coordination with the Dong Loc Commune Police, clarified that between February 27th and March 13th, 2026, taking advantage of the darkness and the fact that people left their machines outside the shrimp ponds unattended, Nam stole more than 20 electric motors in the shrimp pond area of Dong Loc Commune, with a total value of over 40 million VND, which he then sold for personal use (in many cases, the victims did not report the incidents).
Currently, the case is being investigated and handled by the Trung Loc Commune Police in accordance with regulations.
