Man arrested quickly for fatally stabbing a gardener.
On the evening of July 5th, the Dong Thap Provincial Police announced that the Criminal Investigation Agency had temporarily detained Vo Van Nhan (born in 1975, residing in Hau My commune) to clarify his involvement in a murder.
On the afternoon of the same day, the Hau My commune police received a report that Mr. Huynh Van Tiep (born in 1951, residing in Hau Phu 2 hamlet, Hau My commune) was found dead on a rural road in Hau Phu 1 hamlet.
Upon verification, at the time of the incident, Mr. Tiep was on his way home from gardening. As he passed Nhan's house, Mr. Tiep was suddenly attacked by the assailant, who stabbed him in the left chest with a weapon, resulting in his death.
The Board of Directors of the Dong Thap Provincial Police Department has directed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with other professional units to urgently investigate and clarify the case and arrest the perpetrator.
The suspect barricaded himself inside the house. Law enforcement officers approached and subdued him. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
