Arrested a group of people who entered the forest to threaten officials and steal illegal timber
Knowing that a large amount of illegal timber had been collected by the authorities at the ranger station, a group of people entered the forest to threaten the officers with the intention of taking back the timber.
On the morning of August 26, the Bo Trach District Police, Quang Binh Province, said that they had just arrested a group of robbers to clarify the act of wood robbery that occurred at Khe Da Mai Forest Protection Station in Hung Trach Commune (Bo Trach District).

The group of people arrested included: Hoang Van Ha (26 years old), Hoang Van Nam (27 years old), Hoang Van Thuc (25 years old), Hoang Van Hieu (31 years old) and Hoang Van Luc, all residing in Hung Trach commune, Bo Trach district.
Previously, at around 8:20 p.m. on August 22, when the authorities discovered a large amount of illegal timber that had been illegally cut down by "loggers", the forest rangers collected it at Khe Da Mai forest protection station. The group discussed and then went into the forest together to steal timber.
Here, the subjects threatened the forest rangers, then snatched three pieces of xoan xoan wood, group VIII wood and ran away. The authorities quickly began investigating and arresting the reckless group.
At the police station, the suspects admitted their crimes. Currently, Bo Trach district authorities are continuing to expand the investigation into the case.
