Group of young men arrested for attacking Covid-19 quarantine checkpoint.

On April 18th, the police in Phuc Tho district (Hanoi) arrested three individuals: Nguyen The Anh (born in 1992, residing in Di Nau, Thach That, Hanoi), Phan Danh (born in 1998, residing in Loc Vinh, Phu Loc, Thua Thien Hue), and Tran Van Phuong (born in 1995, residing in Doi Binh, Yen Son, Tuyen Quang) for investigation into the act of resisting public officials.
Earlier, at around 3 PM on April 16th, at the health checkpoint in Tao 1 village, Tam Thuan commune, Phuc Tho district, a task force from the Tam Thuan commune police, while on patrol to ensure security and order and prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, discovered a group of young men riding on two motorbikes without helmets.

When reminded to park their vehicles neatly on the side of the road to ensure traffic order and safety, the individuals refused to comply and continued to shout and hurl insults at the task force.
At that moment, Captain Bui Anh Tuan went to neatly park the motorbike on the road when Danh rushed forward and kicked him in the thigh. Afterwards, Phuong and Danh unlocked the motorbike and tried to leave, but the task force stopped them and demanded that they comply with the inspection.
The suspect Phuong refused to comply, got into the car, started the engine, and drove straight into Officer Tuan's leg, causing minor injuries. The other suspects in the group continued to pick up bricks and wield wooden sticks from the roadside to threaten the task force, then got into the car and fled.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the Phuc Tho District Police promptly investigated and arrested Nguyen The Anh, Phan Danh, and Tran Van Phuong.
At the police station, the suspects admitted to their crimes. Currently, the Phuc Tho District Police are consolidating the case files and processing the suspects according to regulations.
