The task force signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection, but the subjects did not comply and even cursed, insulted, resisted, and threatened the task force.
On April 18, Phuc Tho District Police (Hanoi) arrested three subjects: Nguyen The Anh (born in 1992, residing in Di Nau, Thach That, Hanoi), Phan Danh (born in 1998, residing in Loc Vinh, Phu Loc, Thua Thien Hue) and Tran Van Phuong (born in 1995, residing in Doi Binh, Yen Son, Tuyen Quang) to investigate the act of resisting people on duty.
Previously, at around 3:00 p.m. on April 16, at the medical checkpoint of Tao 1 village, Tam Thuan commune, Phuc Tho district, a working group of Tam Thuan commune police on patrol, ensuring security and order and preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic discovered a group of young men riding 2 motorbikes without helmets.
The task force signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection, but the subjects did not comply and even cursed and insulted the task force.
When reminded to park their vehicles neatly on the side of the road to ensure order and traffic safety, the subjects did not comply but continued to shout and curse at the working group.
At this time, Captain Bui Anh Tuan was pulling his motorbike into the road when Danh rushed over and kicked him in the thigh. After that, Phuong and Danh unlocked the motorbike and tried to leave but were stopped by the task force and asked to comply with the inspection.
Subject Phuong did not comply but got in the car, started the engine, and crashed straight into comrade Tuan's leg, slightly injuring him. The other subjects in the group continued to pick up bricks and hold pieces of wood on the side of the road to threaten the working group, then got in the car and fled.
Immediately after the incident, Phuc Tho District Police urgently investigated and arrested Nguyen The Anh, Phan Danh and Tran Van Phuong.
At the police station, the suspects admitted their crimes. Currently, Phuc Tho District Police are consolidating their files and handling the suspects according to regulations.
