'Female tycoon' in the pharmaceutical industry arrested for fraud.
The woman falsely claimed to be a wealthy businesswoman in the pharmaceutical industry, soliciting investments from many people in a lucrative business selling Western medicines and medical equipment, but she was actually defrauding them to fund her personal expenses.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency announced that it has initiated a criminal case, charged the suspect, and executed an arrest warrant to detain Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hue (also known as Nguyen Bao Ngoc, 48 years old, residing in Binh Thanh District) on charges of the crime of..."Fraudulent appropriation of property""

According to initial information, several people filed complaints with the Investigative Police Agency accusing Hue of fraudulent behavior. The victims stated that Hue always introduced herself as a tycoon in the pharmaceutical industry, then provided false information, persuading them to join her in the business of selling Western medicine and medical equipment with promises of extremely high profits.
Driven by trust and the lure of profit, many people gave money to Hue.
However, after some time, the victims found out they had been scammed and that Hue had embezzled their money for personal use.
