Nine individuals were caught red-handed gambling.
(Baonghean.vn) - Police forces in Tan Ky district raided a house and caught 9 individuals red-handed participating in gambling using the dice-shaking method.

On January 23, the Tan Ky District People's Court held a first-instance trial to hear the criminal case against a group of individuals from Tan Ky, Anh Son, for the crime of "Gambling".
According to the indictment, at approximately 8 PM on November 10, 2017, Nguyen Van Que, Nguyen Van Tan (both residing in Hamlet 6, Tien Ky Commune, Tan Ky District) and Nguyen Dinh Phi, Nguyen Dinh Quynh (both residing in Binh Son Commune, Anh Son District) went to Le Van Kiem's house (in Hamlet 6, Tien Ky Commune, Tan Ky District) to visit.
After sitting for a while, Nguyen Van Tan took four dice, placed them on the mat, and invited everyone to gamble using the "xoc dia" (dice shaking) method, and everyone agreed. In each round, the participants bet a minimum of 50,000 VND.
About 30 minutes later, Tran Van Lan, Nguyen Van Dao, and Nguyen Dinh Co (all from Hamlet 6, Tien Ky Commune, Tan Ky District) arrived one after another to join the gambling.
At approximately 11 PM on the same day, the Tan Ky District Police raided the premises and caught nine individuals red-handed participating in gambling. They seized 10.8 million VND from the gambling table and 1.3 million VND from the suspects' persons.
The court sentenced Kiem, Quy, and Phi each to 9 months of suspended imprisonment; Tan to 8 months of suspended imprisonment with a 16-month probation period; Dao to 12 months of non-custodial rehabilitation; Huynh and Cong to 9 months of non-custodial rehabilitation; and fined Lan and Thiet 6 million dong each.
