Caught 9 people gambling

On January 23, Tan Ky District People's Court opened a first-instance trial of a criminal case against a group of subjects in Tan Ky and Anh Son for the crime of "Gambling".
According to the indictment, at around 8:00 p.m. on November 10, 2017, Nguyen Van Que, Nguyen Van Tan (both from Hamlet 6, Tien Ky Commune, Tan Ky District) and Nguyen Dinh Phi, Nguyen Dinh Quynh (both from Binh Son Commune, Anh Son District) went to Le Van Kiem's house (in Hamlet 6, Tien Ky Commune, Tan Ky District) to play.
After sitting for a while, Nguyen Van Tan took 4 dice and placed them on the mat, then invited everyone to gamble by playing dice and everyone agreed. Each game, the subjects bet the lowest 50,000 VND.
About 30 minutes later, Tran Van Lan, Nguyen Van Dao, and Nguyen Dinh Co (all from hamlet 6, Tien Ky commune, Tan Ky district) came to join the gambling.
At around 11pm the same day, Tan Ky District Police raided and caught 9 people gambling. They seized 10.8 million VND at the gambling table and 1.3 million VND from the people.
The panel sentenced Kiem, Quy, and Phi each to 9 months in prison with a suspended sentence; Tan to 8 months in prison with a 16-month probationary period; Dao to 12 months of non-custodial reform; Huynh and Cong to 9 months of non-custodial reform; and Lan and Thiet to a fine of 6 million VND each.
