(Baonghean.vn) - While carrying a package of methamphetamine to the entrance of a hotel to conduct a transaction with a business partner, Truong was caught red-handed by the police.
On September 10th, the Le Loi Ward Police in Vinh City announced the arrest of Nguyen Xuan Truong (born in 1986, residing in Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City) for illegally buying and selling narcotics.

According to the police, at 1:30 AM on September 9th, at the entrance of the Nam Hoan guesthouse, located in Block 7, Le Loi Ward (Vinh City), a task force from the Le Loi Ward police caught Nguyen Xuan Truong and a 22-year-old man red-handed engaging in the illegal buying and selling of narcotics.
The evidence seized at the scene included 600,000 VND and one packet of methamphetamine weighing 0.190 grams.
At the police station, suspect Nguyen Xuan Truong confessed to bringing a package of methamphetamine to the entrance of the Nam Hoang guesthouse to sell to a partner for 600,000 VND. The two suspects were caught red-handed by the police after the transaction was completed.
Considering that the 22-year-old man's actions did not warrant criminal prosecution, the investigating agency released him.
As for Nguyen Xuan Truong, the Le Loi Ward Police handed him over to the Vinh City Police for further handling according to their jurisdiction.
According to the investigating agency, at the time of his arrest, Truong was working as a security guard for a college in Vinh City.
The case is still under investigation.
