Authorities caught a group red-handed illegally mining ancient stone in Quy Hop.
(Baonghean.vn) - The illegal mining of ancient stone in Quy Hop district was discovered and apprehended by authorities on the afternoon of May 6, 2021. The perpetrators were subsequently documented, and a truck and an excavator were temporarily seized.
According to the inspection report compiled by the People's Committee of Nghia Xuan commune, at 3:30 PM on May 6, 2021, a joint inspection team comprising the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quy Hop district, and the People's Committee of Nghia Xuan commune conducted an inspection of mining activities.mineralsin Nghia Xuan commune.

In the Tàu hamlet area, the inspection team discovered a group of individuals exhibiting signs of illegal mineral exploitation. At the scene, the inspection team found a white car with license plate 37C - 206.76 driven by Nguyen Van Toan, born in 1990 (permanent residence in Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town). The car contained approximately 2 cubic meters of mineral resources (ornamental stones).3.

The inspection team then continued their inspection and discovered a yellow Hyundai excavator, operated by Nguyen Van Hoang, born in 1991 (permanent residence in Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town), in the hillside area belonging to Thai Quang Trung, born in 1987 (Tau hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune).exploitation.

The inspection team then ordered a halt to the activities and proceeded to draw up a report in accordance with the law. At the time of the inspection, the individuals involved could not present any legal documents for the exploitation of ornamental stone minerals. The inspection team determined that the area covered approximately 2,000 square meters.2, which is about 200m3The ornamental stone mineral has been mined.
In response to this situation, the inspection team temporarily seized the following items: a white car with license plate 37C - 206.76, and a yellow Hyundai excavator with license plate 0126. At the same time, the Nghia Xuan Commune People's Committee was instructed to strengthen inspection efforts to prevent the recurrence of illegal mineral exploitation; to follow the prescribed procedures for temporary seizure and to handle violations accordingly; and if the matter exceeds their authority, to prepare a report and forward it to the Quy Hop District People's Committee for coordinated handling.

According to members of the inspection team, during the inspection of the illegal mining area, they were obstructed by a few individuals.
