Caught red-handed in a case of land exploitation not within the prescribed time frame
(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:00 a.m. on September 19, at Bau Com dam in Nghi Kieu commune, Nghi Loc district, the Environmental Police Department (Nghe An Police) coordinated with Nghi Loc district police and Nghi Kieu commune People's Committee to catch a case of mineral exploitation not within the prescribed time frame.

At the scene, the authorities discovered many machines and vehicles of GD Vietnam Mineral Joint Stock Company (located at Hamlet 4, Nghi Kieu Commune, Nghi Loc District) being used.land exploitationon a large scale.
However, this exploitation violates the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee on dredging exploitation at Bau Com dam.

Accordingly, dredging and exploitation activities are allowed to be carried out from April to August every year (for a period of 05 years, from 2020), but as of September 19, 2021, GD Vietnam Mineral Joint Stock Company is still carrying out exploitation, which is not in accordance with the prescribed time frame.

The authorities have drawn up a record of the incident and temporarily detained the related vehicles, including 4 excavators and 11 trucks.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to handle the case according to the provisions of law.
