The truck driver who caused a fatal accident, despite fleeing the scene, could not escape punishment.
On the afternoon of January 7th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Go Dau District Police (Tay Ninh) arrested Nguyen Van Ni (36 years old, residing in Tri Binh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh) for driving a truck that caused a fatal traffic accident and then fleeing the scene.

Upon reaching an area 200 meters from the Ven Ven intersection, in Da Han hamlet, Hiep Thanh commune, Go Dau district, Ni fell asleep and veered into the lane designated for motorcycles, colliding with a motorcycle with license plate 70L4 - 8390 driven by Mr. Nguyen Trong Ngai (53 years old, residing in Truong Dong commune, Hoa Thanh district, Tay Ninh province) traveling in the same direction ahead.
The collision caused Mr. Ngai to fall onto the road, where he was run over by the rear wheels of the truck and died instantly. Observing through the rearview mirror that there were no people on the road, Ni drove away to An Binh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province.
