Authorities arrest individual involved in activities against the State.
On the afternoon of November 13th, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that it had issued a Decision to prosecute, an Arrest Warrant for temporary detention, and a Search Warrant against Huynh Nhat Phuong (born in 1982, residing in Binh Thanh District) for the crime of "Activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government." These decisions and warrants have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City.
This move was made as part of an expanded investigation into the case of "Activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government" carried out by Tran Van Linh and Nguyen Thi Huong under the direction of the terrorist organization "Provisional National Government of Vietnam," with the intention of distributing leaflets inciting marches and disrupting public order and security during the National Day celebrations on September 2, 2024.
Huynh Nhat Phuong was contacted by Dao Minh Quan and other leaders of the terrorist organization "Provisional National Government of Vietnam," and appointed as "Head of Political Warfare Department under the Saigon - Gia Dinh Regional Tactical Command."
With his stubborn nature, greed for fame and fortune, delusions, and blind faith in the empty promises and deception of terrorist organizations, Huynh Nhat Phuong carried out numerous activities aimed at undermining the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is a dangerous act for society, directly infringing upon the political security and social order of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
Currently, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ho Chi Minh City Police is continuing to clarify the criminal acts of Huynh Nhat Phuong; at the same time, expanding the investigation to thoroughly handle all related individuals in accordance with the law.
The "Provisional National Government of Vietnam" is a terrorist and fraudulent organization; therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department urges citizens to be vigilant and not believe or heed the enticements, deceptions, promises, and attempts to recruit people made by Dao Minh Quan and other leaders of this organization. Upon discovering any personal or organizational information related to this organization, please report it immediately to the nearest police station for prevention and handling.
