Authorities have just initiated a criminal case, charged and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Vi (aka Vi "Ngo") and related individuals for further investigation.
According to information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict and temporarily detain Nguyen Van Vi (aka Vi "Ngo", born in 1981), residing at 130 Dao Duy Tu Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Thanh Hoa City, and other related individuals to continue the investigation and expand the case.
The decisions and orders have been approved by the People's Procuratorate at the same level.
Regarding the charges, the police have not yet announced them.
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police are requesting that agencies, organizations, and individuals provide information regarding the illegal activities of Nguyen Van Vi and related individuals to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for resolution.
Previously, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police summoned Nguyen Van Vi and several related individuals for questioning. Simultaneously, they conducted urgent searches of Vi's residence and companies in which he held ownership or shares in Lam Son, Ba Dinh, Dong Ve, and Rung Thong wards of Thanh Hoa City, and Van Du town in Thach Thanh district.
