Arrested for transporting wild animals from Nghe An to the North for consumption
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 20, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police) announced that it had just discovered a case of transporting wild animals from Nghe An to the North for consumption, seizing 5 mink weighing more than 21kg.
Accordingly, at around 10:30 p.m. on August 19, the working group of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station was on duty at Km 418, National Highway 1A in Dien Hong Commune, Dien Chau when they discovered a Toyota truck with license plate 37D 027.46 driven by Nguyen Tat Phuc (born in 1993), residing in Tan Son Commune, Do Luong District, showing suspicious signs, so they requested an inspection.

At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered two foam boxes behind the truck, containing five live mink weighing more than 21kg without any documents proving their origin. The task force drew up a report according to regulations.

According to the driver's confession, a man asked him to transport these mink to Ninh Binh for sale with a transportation fee of 200,000 VND.
The case is currently under further investigation.
