US Election: Debate Round to be Live on Facebook

The American media conglomerate ABC News and Facebook will collaborate to breathe new life into the 2016 US presidential debates by streaming all of them live on Facebook Live.

The first live debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will take place on September 26th.

Specifically, all three debates will be broadcast live across ABC News' eight television networks as usual, but for the first time will be streamed online via ABC News' Facebook page.

Viewers will be able to ask questions and leave comments, which ABC says will be broadcast on Facebook Live.

The first debate will take place on September 26th in Hempstead, New York.

This isn't the first time Facebook Live has been involved in American political events this year. In July, Hillary Clinton's campaign used the platform to make accusations against her Republican opponent, billionaire Donald Trump. Approximately 670,000 people watched the four-hour event.
