The first live debate between Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Trump will take place on September 26. |
Specifically, all three debates will be broadcast live across ABC News' eight television networks as usual, but for the first time will be streamed online via ABC News' Facebook page.
Viewers will be able to ask questions and make comments, which ABC says will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
The first debate will take place on September 26 in Hempstead, New York.
This isn’t the first time Facebook Live has been used in American politics this year. In July, Hillary Clinton’s campaign used the platform to launch a lawsuit against her Republican opponent, billionaire Donald Trump. About 670,000 people watched the four-hour event.
