US Presidential Election: Donald Trump pledges to 'heal' the country
Speaking to the crowd after the preliminary results, Mr. Donald Trump pledged to "heal" America.

In a speech to a crowd of supporters, Donald Trump said his campaign had made history and "overcame obstacles that no one thought were possible".
“This is a journey like no one has ever seen before. And frankly, I believe this is the greatest political movement of all time. Nothing like this has ever happened in our country… And now it will reach a new level of significance, because together we will make our country “healed.”
Mr. Donald Trump pledged to "fight" for every citizen and their families.
"Every day I will fight for you until my last breath," Donald Trump affirmed, saying he was ushering in "America's golden age."
“This is a huge victory for the American people, allowing us to make America great again,” the Republican candidate emphasized.
"We've been through a lot together. Today you came out in record numbers to win. That's special. We're going to pay you back, we're going to do the best job we can. We have to turn this around. We're going to do everything we can to change this. This day will be remembered as the American people taking back control of our country," Donald Trump said.
Former President Trump also praised Republican Senate candidates for their projected victories, helping Republicans regain control of the Senate.
"America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate," Mr Trump said. "We have taken back control of the Senate."
According to Fox News, Mr. Donald Trump has surpassed the threshold of 270 electoral votes after surprising victories in the small battlegrounds of North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Trump's comeback win was made official after Fox News predicted Wisconsin would go his way. Trump narrowly lost the state in 2020.
Pennsylvania is one of the most important states for Donald Trump to win, with Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign identifying it as one of three "Rust Belt" states on the "clearest path to 270 electoral votes."
