At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) on the morning of April 10, Mr. Tran Anh Tu expressed his wish to withdraw from the position of General Director. However, six out of seven votes were not approved, meaning that the "futsal boss" will continue to hold the same positions.
"I don't want to comment on this anymore. I'm tired and want to rest, forget about football and do other things," Mr. Duc shared withVnExpress."There are still many issues at the VFF Congress so I don't want to say anything more right now. When it's convenient, I will share about football later."
Previously, the owner of HAGL publicly criticized Mr. Tu for holding multiple positions at the same time, such as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of VPF, Head of the V-League Executive Board, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation..., and will soon run for the position of Vice President of VFF. Mr. Duc even declared that if Mr. Tu did not reduce his position, he would let HAGL leave the V-League.
Faced with the above tensions, former VPF President Vo Quoc Thang is trying to arrange a meeting between Mr. Duc and Mr. Tu. It is scheduled to take place on April 12. Talking about this meeting, Mr. Tu said: "I don't know what will happen but I still hope everything will go well.Everyone has their own opinions, which may be the same or different, but the common goal is football.".
