At the VPF (Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company) Board of Directors meeting on the morning of April 10th, Mr. Tran Anh Tu expressed his desire to step down from the position of General Director. However, six out of seven votes were against it, meaning the "futsal tycoon" will continue to hold all his positions.
"I don't want to comment on this anymore. Previously, the owner of HAGL had publicly criticized Mr. Tú for simultaneously holding multiple positions such as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of VPF, Head of the V-League Executive Board, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation..., and soon running for the position of Vice President of VFF. Mr. Đức even declared that if Mr. Tú did not reduce his responsibilities, he would withdraw HAGL from the V-League.
Amidst the aforementioned tensions, former VPF President Vo Quoc Thang is trying to arrange a meeting between Mr. Duc and Mr. Tu. It is scheduled to take place on April 12th. Regarding this meeting, Mr. Tu said: "I don't know what will happen, but I still hope everything will turn out well."Everyone has their own opinion, which may be the same or different, but the common goal is for the sake of football.".
