Unfortunately, despite Mr. Duc's protest, those involved have maintained a terrifying silence. Even more dangerous is that the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, even after sending agents to infiltrate the VFF, has remained completely inactive, believing it to be a matter solely for the VFF (!?).

Mr. Duc has contributed a great deal to Vietnamese football.

Chairman Duc shared that he doesn't quarrel or harbor grudges against anyone. His direct criticism of VFF Standing Committee member Tran Anh Tu was aimed at dismantling the stronghold of manipulation and cronyism, not at any personal animosity. Chairman Duc stated that Mr. Tu, or anyone else for that matter, cannot perform their duties well while simultaneously holding 7-8 different positions.

From the VFF Standing Committee meeting attended by the President and Vice Presidents, to the subsequent meeting of the Executive Committee, Mr. Duc spoke very clearly about the shortcomings of being the sole candidate in the upcoming election for the Vice President in charge of finance at the 7th Congress.

Chairman Duc - Doan Nguyen Duc asserted that the VFF Congress should be postponed due to numerous irregularities in the personnel preparation process. He added that if the congress proceeds and Mr. Tran Anh Tu – a person holding too many positions – becomes vice president in charge of finance, he will withdraw from professional football and take HAGL team out of the V-League…

Chairman Duc pointed out during the meeting: "The media seat is stable, with five people competing freely. Now, with only Mr. Tran Anh Tu in the finance seat, who will he compete against? This is extremely dangerous for the next term if things aren't done correctly."

Highly talented people are unemployed, and no one has introduced them. And excuse me, Mr. Tú has only been involved in football for a few years. I find this selection process unique; who will ultimately be chosen? Mr. Tú, of course. Surely a media position isn't more lucrative than a finance position?

If I were nominated, Cao Van Chong, sitting here, along with Dang Van Thanh and Le Thanh Trung, would have to step into football and take on this role. We need a fair nomination process, with accurate voting, because a one-to-one election will lead to immediate and irreversible consequences. Whether I work in football or not, I will speak frankly. I speak frankly from the heart; I'm not advising anyone, nor do I favor anyone, nor am I taking sides with anyone.”

Ironically, the absurdities that Mr. Duc pointed out directly in the meeting went unanswered, not even by Tran Anh Tu, the person specifically named, who was sitting next to him, until several days later he wrote an open letter.

Fortunately, after that meeting, Mr. Duc learned that they had deliberately concealed and deceived him about the nomination list that did not include his name. It wasn't until at least three member organizations questioned the matter in surprise that they resorted to covering up one thing after another to conceal their negligence or a deliberate conspiracy.

In fact, bầu Đức (Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation) had repeatedly stated he would resign from his position as Vice President of the VFF, but for some reason, the Personnel Subcommittee removed him from the Executive Committee altogether. This led to bầu Đức's frustration during the meeting when he directly accused the VFF of improper conduct. Everyone remained silent.

There was another unexpected tactic that Mr. Duc didn't anticipate: for the first time, the VFF included a university degree as a requirement for candidates. He immediately questioned, "Is it possible that some group planted this criterion to disqualify others?"

I apologize, gentlemen, but even the President may not have a degree. If this criterion were set by the Ministry of Interior, the Government, or a law passed by the National Assembly, we would agree. But the VFF, being a professional social organization, should not be setting such a condition. The VFF has no right to impose this requirement. I propose that this be abolished immediately.”

Mr. Duc doesn't hide the fact that he only learned from life and doesn't have a university degree. He jokingly said, "Bill Gates doesn't have a bachelor's degree, so why be ashamed?"

However, Mr. Duc was left utterly disappointed during the half-hour meeting, as he was almost the only one speaking, facing no counterarguments from many highly qualified individuals.
