Bayern call Marc Guehi, Man Utd prioritize Ayyoub Bouaddi
Max Eberl will call up Marc Guehi in January; Bayern are competing with Real, Barcelona, and Liverpool. Man Utd are targeting Ayyoub Bouaddi for €50 million; options are being considered for Salah.
Bayern Munich proactively approached Marc Guehi in January, while Manchester United identified Ayyoub Bouaddi as a key target for their 2026 plans. Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool remains uncertain, with Harvey Elliott being considered as an option in case of personnel changes in the attacking line.
Bayern call up Marc Guehi
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich's sporting director Max Eberl is expected to call Marc Guehi directly in January. Prior to this, Bayern had an initial meeting with the Crystal Palace captain's agent and expressed their desire to sign the central defender on a free transfer this summer.
However, the deal is expected to be difficult as Bayern will have to compete with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool. Guehi's contract expires next summer, but he could still leave Palace in January if a team agrees to pay a small fee.
Liverpool are considering options for Salah, with Elliott being a potential choice.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool could offset the risk of Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield in the January transfer window by bringing Harvey Elliott back. Salah's future has become uncertain after he expressed his dissatisfaction at being left out of the squad. Clubs in the Saudi Pro League have been pursuing Salah for a long time, and the transfer window in that league opens on January 1st.
Conversely, Elliott's loan spell at Aston Villa has not lived up to expectations. Manager Unai Emery confirmed talks are underway. TEAMtalk reports that Villa are willing to let Elliott return to Liverpool and have no intention of activating the buy-out clause. If Salah leaves, Elliott could be a suitable option in manager Arne Slot's system.
The Athletic claims San Diego FC has no plans to sign Salah in January. While MLS would welcome him, it's not a priority for the club. A move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal as a potential destination, is considered a more likely option.
Man Utd prioritize Ayyoub Bouaddi
According to Ekrem Konur, Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi is Manchester United's top target for their 2026 plans, valued at around €50 million. His young age, great potential, long contract, and relatively low price tag make Bouaddi a logical choice for the Old Trafford club.
Tottenham, Bournemouth, Napoli and Wolfsburg updates
Tottenham are ready to part ways with Yves Bissouma.
According to The Times, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to let Yves Bissouma leave in January. The midfielder hasn't played a single minute this season due to injury and is attracting interest from Nice, Marseille, and Fenerbahce. If he doesn't find a new club, Spurs may offer him a contract extension to avoid losing him for free.
Bournemouth are looking for a replacement for Antoine Semenyo.
TEAMtalk reports that AFC Bournemouth have added Philip Otele (Basel) to their list of potential replacements should Antoine Semenyo's release clause be activated. Crystal Palace are also monitoring Otele alongside Bournemouth.
Napoli are interested in Kobbie Mainoo.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli are still closely monitoring Kobbie Mainoo's situation at Manchester United. However, Man Utd have no intention of letting the young midfielder leave, especially with many first-team players set to participate in AFCON.
Wolfsburg is in talks with Niclas Fullkrug.
Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg are in talks with representatives of Niclas Fullkrug. The possibility of the West Ham striker moving to Wolfsburg on a winter loan remains open.
