Nghe An Border Guard: Handled 124 cases of search and rescue, forest fire fighting

746 officers, 18 ships, 07 boats, 08 cars, 171 motorbikes were mobilized to coordinate with local authorities and joint forces to organize search and rescue, fight forest fires and overcome tornadoes that occurred in the area in 67 cases.
Directly organized search and rescue, forest fire fighting and tornado relief in 57 cases in the area, mobilized 1,094 officers and soldiers, 19 ships, 10 boats, and 14 cars to participate. Rescued 89 people, 11 vehicles, repaired 94 houses, contributing to reducing damage caused by natural disasters.

The conference also presented many opinions to propose directions and key tasks in 2017 in line with the actual situation of each locality. Special attention was paid to climate and extreme weather forecasting; promoting propaganda and mobilizing local people to raise awareness and knowledge of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue; organizing and practicing proficiently the plans and solutions that have been developed, promptly responding to situations, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters and accidents./.
