Six-year-old child dies after stepfather sets house on fire with gasoline.
Following a conflict with his wife, Linh poured gasoline and set the house on fire, causing severe burns to himself, his wife, and his wife's son from a previous marriage. The boy later succumbed to his injuries.

In the early morning of October 12th, Hoang Tien Linh (40 years old) brought gasoline to his father-in-law's house in Hong Mai alley, Bach Mai, to resolve a conflict with his wife. There, seeing his wife carrying her 6-year-old son (her child from a previous relationship) to open the door, Linh poured gasoline on her and set her on fire. The fire spread, burning down the single-story house. Linh, his wife, and the 6-year-old boy suffered severe burns and were hospitalized.
On the morning of October 13th, a 6-year-old boy passed away after more than a day of emergency treatment at the National Burn Institute. "He suffered 98% severe burns to his body. When the doctors gave a poor prognosis, the family decided to take him home, but he breathed his last on the way," a relative of the victim shared.
Linh is still in a coma, so investigators have not been able to reach her or take her statement.
According to relatives, Linh and his second wife had been living together for many years, and both had children from previous relationships. Linh was a drug addict who was undergoing rehabilitation, so he had to take medication daily and exhibited some abnormal behavior.
The Hai Ba Trung District Police are handling the case.
